Product Care

Like other natural materials, our timbers may develop a slight patina over time. To mitigate the effects of aging, TimberLUX applies a mild matte lacquer to protect the finish, delaying discoloration and safeguarding it against exposure to humidity, natural oils, and other natural elements. To ensure the longevity of your luminaires, it is important to follow these guidelines for cleaning:

1.

Avoid Harsh Cleaners or Surfaces
Using abrasive cleaners or surfaces can harm the finish of your fixture, accelerating the aging process and diminishing its beautiful shine. Instead, opt for a slightly damp microfiber cloth and refrain from using ammonia, bleach, or abrasive solutions or surfaces.

2.

Handle with Care and Avoid Excessive Force
When cleaning your fixtures, take your time and handle them with utmost care, especially considering the slender profile of some of the luminaires. Applying excessive pressure or force can cause damage. Exercise caution and gentleness while cleaning, ensuring you don't put too much pressure on any part or joint of the lamp.

3.

Avoid Disassembling or Modifying
Unless it is for recycling purposes, we strongly discourage disassembling fixtures for cleaning or repairs. Taking apart or altering parts is not recommended and this may void warranty on the product.

By adhering to these cleaning guidelines, you can maintain the quality and appearance of your TimberLUX luminaire for years to come.
